When motherhood is aligned with God’s Word it’s a beautiful thing, it adds deep meaning and purpose to a mother’s role. As a Christian mother, I’ve realized how crucial it is to remember the truths God shares with us in His Word. Because in this busy world, it can be easy to forget what matters. There are so many distractions and opinions all around, and focusing on God’s truth helps me get through life’s obstacles. I try to meditate on biblical truths and speak them over my motherhood journey, as a reminder that in everything I do, I desire to please the Lord, especially in how I love and raise my children.

1) In My Weakness, God’s Strength Is Made Perfect

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

God’s strength is made perfect in our weaknesses, His power shines through when we fully depend on Him. As mothers, we don’t have to view weakness as a bad thing, weakness can be an opportunity to grow and develop in character and spiritual maturity.

It will strengthen our faith and help us persevere through whatever life throws our way. God can bring good from weakness and we don’t have to feel like we failed, we can wait on God to do amazing things even when we are weak.

2) I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Gives Me Strength

Philippians 4:13 NIV says “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”

Our strength is in the Lord, when we fully lean on Him we can find the strength to get through anything. Even when it feels impossible. As mothers, when we feel weak, we can trust the Lord to carry us through, He never grows weary or slumbers (Isaiah 40:28 NIV). He is always there and walks beside us in all we do.

When we view our children as a reward and the blessing from God that they are, we can have a deep appreciation for all the big and small moments we have with them. Even on the repetitive and challenging days, we can remember how blessed we are that someone calls us mom. A blessing that came from God, He entrusted these precious lives under our care.

We can cast ALL of our burdens on the Lord because he truly does care and wants to take the heavy load off our shoulders. God always is with us and He wants us to lean on Him to be our strength. We were never meant to walk this life alone. As mothers, when the tasks, responsibilities, and demands on us become too much, we don’t have to try to carry them alone. God is there, and He wants us to surrender to Him and trust Him to carry us through all life’s obstacles.

5) My Strength Will Be Renewed And I Will Not Grow Weary

Isaiah 40:31 NIV “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Our hope is always in the Lord, and when we turn to Him, He renews our strength and helps us never grow weary. He is our ever-present help when life becomes hard, and we can confidently turn to Him anytime. He renews our strength and refreshes our souls, He gives us the strength to persevere through anything and come out stronger.
