Pray Psalm 91 Over Your Children

1) Psalm 91:1-2 – Whoever Dwells In The Shelter Of The Most High Will Rest In The Shadow Of The Almighty

Psalm 91:1-2 NIV says, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Lord, I pray over my children that they will dwell in your perfect shelter. You alone are the Most High, and I trust that you watch over them. I ask that you keep them safely in your shadow, protect them in all they do, as they go and as they come. You alone are the Almighty one. Please be their refuge and fortress, and I pray that they will learn to fully place their trust in you and lean on you always.

2) Psalm 91:3-4 – He Will Cover You With His Feathers, And Under His Wings You Will Find Refuge

Psalm 91:3-4 NIV says, “Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”

Lord, I lift my children before you, and I ask that you cover them with your feathers and keep them safe and protected from all harm. Whatever plans the enemy has against them, I pray they fail in Jesus’name. I ask that you keep them safe from the fowler’s snare and the deadly pestilence that tries to come their way. May they find refuge under your wings, and may your faithfulness be their shield and rampart. Thank you for keeping them safe in your capable hands and for never leaving their side.

Psalm 91:7-8 NIV says, “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.”

Lord, I pray for my children and I lift them before you. I ask that you keep them on a steady path of safety, protection and help them to persevere through anything that comes their way. Even when hardship is all around them, may it not touch them, I pray that they would understand that they walk under the divine protection of the Almighty. Even when the world is in chaos, keep their feet on steady ground and their minds and hearts in a place of pure peace.

5) Psalm 91:9-10 – Make The Most High Your Dwelling, And No Harm Will Overtake You

Psalm 91:9-10 NIV says, If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.”

Lord, I pray that my children will come to a place in their lives where they fully depend on you. May they find refuge in you alone, and may they make you their dwelling. I ask that you watch over them and may no harm overtake them nor any disaster come near them in Jesus’name. I fully trust them in your divine and capable hands.

6) Psalm 91:11-12 – For He Will Command His Angels Concerning You To Guard You In All Your Ways

Psalm 91:11-12 NIV says, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

Lord, I lift my children before you, and I ask that you command your angels concerning them and keep them in all their ways. Lift them when they are discouraged, and help them overcome every obstacle that comes their way. Surround them with your divine protection and safety, and keep them safe as they go and come every day.

Psalm 91:15-16 NIV says, “He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Lord, I pray for my children, asking that you always stay present and close to them. May they call on you and hear you when you answer them. Fill them with assurance that you are always with them, even in times of trouble. Deliver them and honor them and bless them with a satisfying long life. I pray that they place their hope in you alone and that they see the beauty of your salvation.
