Ways To Surrender “Mom Guilt” To God And Find Peace

As moms even when we try our best and give our all, mom guilt can creep up at any time. It invades our thoughts and makes us dwell on feelings of failure. As Christian mothers, we should surrender those guilt feelings to the Lord, and choose to dwell on His truth. Because those feelings are not of God, and He doesn’t want us to sit in shame and guilt, He came to set us free and live peacefully.

In my motherhood journey, when feelings of guilt slither in, I try to pray against them and give them to the Lord. Because as I grow deeper in my faith, I understand that there are things out of my control that I need to trust in the Lord’s capable hands.

Dwelling on feelings of guilt does not add any value to my life, instead, I pray for the Lord to help me in areas I fall short in, and to make me into a biblical mother who walks according to godly wisdom. I want to push aside the guilt that tried to burden me and focus my attention on being the best loving mother I can be to my children. I’m at a place in my life, I refuse to dwell on feelings of guilt that I know are only pressures from the world and not what God has for me.
