Christian Parenting Tips For Raising Godly Children

As parents trying to raise our children in the ways of the Lord, it’s nice to come across some Christian parenting tips that can help us and encourage us.

Raising children in God’s truth is a privilege and a blessing. We get to plant the hope of Christ in their hearts and watch them grow into the godly people God made them to be.

Sometimes it can be overwhelming, and we may wonder if we are doing enough. It can feel like everything we continually share with our kids goes in one ear and out the other.

But don’t lose hope! Your efforts are never in vain, your children are catching on and hearing the truth you continually share.

I’m reminded of this when my husband and I try to teach our children memory verses. We sit around the supper table, and after prayer time, we go over a verse. We do the same verse every day until they memorize it. At one point, it felt like our efforts were for nothing; we’d continually say the verse, but some nights the kids weren’t even paying attention.

After weeks of my son showing no interest, one day, as he was playing with his toys independently, I overheard him say the verse word-for-word! The entire verse! He memorized it, and although he never wanted to say it at the supper table, it was such a joy to hear him repeat it and to know that all those nights repeating the verse impacted him.

All this to say, keep sharing the hope of Christ with your kids; they are listening, and it is greatly impacting them even when it doesn’t show right away!

Below are 13 Christian parenting tips that may encourage you or inspire you as you share the hope of Christ with your kids!
