God’s Word brings peace and hope to our hearts, and there are important biblical reminders for Christian mothers to help them reflect on truths that they can live by. Because sometimes taking the time to meditate on Biblical truths is just what is needed to feel refreshed and renewed.

As Christian mothers, God has given us everything we need in His Word to live victoriously and to raise children in His truth. Keeping our eyes on Jesus, and living according to His Word helps us find the strength and confidence to face whatever life brings.

There is nowhere else we need to look for answers or guidance because God’s Word is the ultimate authority and it helps us overcome and succeed.

As a Christian mother, I am often reminded of the importance of intentionally seeking God’s truth to apply to my life. Deep within I know what God says is the ultimate truth I want to live by, and He is the One I desire to please. With so many opinions and views, I try to focus on living my life aligned with His Word. All the other voices fade away when I focus on remembering what matters to God. My heart is filled with peace and assurance when I turn to Him and I can tune out all else because His truth sustains me.

What Are Some Important Reminders For Christian Moms To Feel Refreshed?

1) God Doesn’t Give You More Than You Can Handle

1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV says “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

God is faithful, He knows what you can handle and He will never give you more than you can bear. He will provide a way for you to endure whatever you’re facing and He will never leave you hanging. You can fully trust Him, in any situation, He will give you the strength and the grace to face it and overcome it victoriously.

2) God Has Equipped You To Be A Loving Mother

1 John 4:7-8 NIV says “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

Love comes from God, and as a Christian mother, you were born of God and you have it within you to be a loving mother to your children. You show love because you know God and He is love. So be the mother God has called you to be, and may everything you do come from a place of love.

3) Your Prayers Are Powerful And Effective

James 5:16 NIV says “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Your prayers are powerful and effective, they make a difference and they will help to shape your children into who God created them to be. Trust that when you pray, it is never in vain, God hears every word and He is moving on your behalf.

We don’t always see the outcome right away, but He is moving powerfully when you pray. So confidently live your motherhood role as a mother who prays and covers her family and children in prayers that impact them greatly.

5) Weakness Is Not A Bad Thing, Christ’s Power Is Made Perfect In Weaknesses

2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV says “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

As Christian mothers, we can look at weaknesses as an opportunity for God’s power to shine through, God can use our weaknesses and bring good from them. They are an opportunity to grow and mature in our faith and to rely on the Lord for strength and not on our abilities.

6) The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength

Nehemiah 8:10 NIV says “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

As Christian mothers, we can find our strength in the Lord, He offers us an inner joy and gladness that naturally fills our hearts just from knowing Him. He is our hope and we always have a reason to feel joyous when we have such a glorious hope in Him. No matter how life appears, the joy of the Lord is our strength through the good and the bad.

7) Take Time To Be Refreshed And Renewed In God’s Word, It Is Refreshing To The Soul

Proverbs 30:5 NIV says “Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.”

God’s Word is flawless, He is our shield and we can take refuge in His loving care. His Word refreshes our souls, it brings hope, life, healing, and guidance to us as mothers. When we are feeling defeated in this life, turning to His truth helps us find the strength to press on and to find refreshment.

8) You Can Live In Perfect Peace When Your Eyes Are Set On The Lord

Isaiah 26:3 NIV says “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”

As Christian mothers, when we set our eyes on the Lord, our hearts are filled with an unexplainable peace. A peace that comes from knowing Him and living our lives aligned with His truth. He helps us live with settled minds, a calmness in our hearts, and inner peace and assurance that we belong to Him.

9) God Is Faithful, He Never Slumbers Or Grows Weary, And You Can Fully Depend On Him Anytime And Anywhere

Psalm 121:4 NIV says “Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

We serve a God who is available anytime and anywhere, He doesn’t grow weary or tired, and He never slumbers or sleeps. He is ever-present and ready to be our rescuer in times of need. As mothers, we can trust God’s constant presence in our lives, even when we don’t feel close to Him, He is faithfully by our side, and we can fully lean on Him.

10) Trust The Lord Even When You Don’t Understand A Situation, He Is Faithful And Will Direct Your Path

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

As Christian mothers, there will be times in our lives when we don’t understand why God allows things to happen, we won’t always feel good about situations.

But God is faithful, we can fully trust in Him and know that no matter how things appear, He is directing our paths. He is leading us in the way we ought to go, and in moments like these we need to live by faith, even when it goes beyond our understanding.

11) You Can Ask The Lord To Bless You With Biblical Wisdom And Understanding, So You Can Be A Mother Who Is Fully Aligned With His Word

James 1:5 NIV says “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

As mothers, we can ask God to give us wisdom, to make the right decisions on behalf of our children, and to lead them on the path of truth. God is gracious and He generously gives to those who ask.

12) You Are The Voice Of Authority In Your Children’s Lives, Trust That They Take Your Words Above Any Others

Colossians 3:20 NIV says “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this please the Lord.”

God wants children to listen to their parents in everything, God has given parents the authority over their kids and they will take your words above all others. So speak life, truth, and hope into your children, and trust that your words hold power and impact them greatly.

13) You Are Radiant When You Look To The Lord, You Will Never Walk In Shame When Your Eyes Are on Him

Psalm 34:5 NIV says “Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”

As a Christian mother, when you look to the Lord, your face is radiant and shines brightly with His love. You don’t have to walk with shame or guilt because the Lord sets you free. So shine in the beautiful radiance that you reflect when your eyes are steadfast on Him.

14) God Hears Your Prayers And Your Cries, None Of Them Are In Vain

Proverbs 15:29 NIV says “The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.”

You can fully trust that when you pray, God hears your prayers, none of them are in vain. As a Christian mother, you can go before the Lord by faith and know that He is listening to every word you speak. His ears are attentive to your cry and He is moving on your behalf.

15) God Is Working Everything Out For Your Good, No Matter How Things Seem

Romans 8:28 NIV says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

You can trust that God is working ALL THINGS for your good, even when things don’t appear how you hoped they would, God sees the bigger picture and He is working things for your ultimate good. As a Christian mother, rest in this truth, accept that He is faithfully moving on your behalf and He has your good in mind.

16) Your Sleep Can Be Peaceful, And God Is The One Who Keeps You Safe

Psalm 4:8 NIV says “In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

Your sleep can be peaceful, all the anxieties and worries of tomorrow don’t have to burden you as you try to rest. Give it all to God, place it in His capable hands, and let Him bless you with peace as you lay your head to sleep. Trust that He is your Protector, it is Him alone that makes you dwell in safety, He is always watching over you as you wake and sleep, accept His peace and rest.

17) You Walk By Faith Not By Sight, So Trust That God Is Moving On Your Behalf Even When You Don’t See It

2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV says “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Hebrews 11:6 NIV says “But without faith it is impossible to please God.”

Faith is required to live as a Christian mother, faith is believing even when you can’t see. So even when things don’t make sense, or they don’t appear how you imagined, place your faith in the Lord, He is trustworthy.

Trust that God is moving on your behalf even when you don’t see it, He is working in your life, and He wants you to cling to Him in all situations. Strengthen your faith by reading God’s Word and applying it to your life.

18) When You Ask God For Forgiveness You Can Know He Has Forgiven You, You Are Washed As White As Snow

Isaiah 1:18 NIV says “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

When you ask God to forgive you of areas you have fallen short in, you can trust that God has forgiven you. His Word tells us that you are washed as white as snow, He has removed your sins, and He no longer sees them. So walk in that truth, accept His forgiveness, and know that those past mistakes are not your burden to carry.

19) You Don’t Have To Live In Fear, God Gave You A Self-discipline, With Love And Power

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV says “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”

When you place your faith in the Lord, His Spirit dwells in you and gives you power, love, and self-discipline. You don’t have to be fearful, because God is always with you and made you bold and brave. You can face life with the confidence that God is right beside you and He equips you to face whatever comes.

20) Your Words Are Powerful And They Bring Life And Healing

Proverbs 15:4 NIV says “The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.”

Your words have the power to bring life and healing to your children and all those around you. As Christian mothers, knowing the power of our words can help us speak with wisdom and be intentional about leading others to encouragement and hope. Your words can be like a tree of life that helps lift others, and your children can be blessed by the hope from your mouth.
